Loire

France's wine garden

The Loire Valley, which stretches along the course of France's longest river, is one of Europe's most fascinating wine-growing regions. From the center to the Atlantic Ocean, this region offers a mosaic of microclimates and terroirs that give rise to wines of extraordinary finesse and elegance. The temperate climate, influenced by both the ocean and the continent, combined with varied soils ranging from limestone to flint, granite to slate, creates ideal conditions for the expression of white grape varieties, which reach their peak here.

The great whites and their many expressions

The Loire is especially famous for its whites: Sauvignon Blanc finds its mineral perfection in Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé; the versatile Chenin Blanc expresses itself in dry, semi-dry, and sweet versions in Vouvray, Savennières, and Anjou; while Melon de Bourgogne produces the crystalline Muscadet. There is no shortage of excellent reds based on Cabernet Franc, such as in Chinon and Bourgueil, and sparkling wines of great finesse produced using traditional methods, which complete an extraordinarily varied wine landscape.

Tradition and sustainable renewal

Our selection highlights both historic producers who preserve traditional techniques and the new generation of vignerons who have embraced organic and biodynamic practices. From the sharp minerality of Sancerre to the complex depths of Savennières, from fresh Muscadet to the deep reds of Touraine, Loire wines embody the perfect balance between acidity and aromatic richness, offering authentic expressions of terroir that accompany the table beautifully and evolve splendidly over time.
