Moscato wine: a carefully curated selection of the best Moscato wine

The fragrant ambassador of joy

A thousand-year-old grape variety with Mediterranean origins, Moscato enchants with its unmistakable bouquet and extraordinary versatility. The Tannico collection explores this fascinating aromatic world from its most famous expressions in Piedmont to international interpretations, offering a range that spans from sweet and festive sparkling wines to meditation wines, to surprising dry versions, all united by a sensory explosion that evokes flowers, citrus fruits, and exotic spices.

A thousand faces, one name: the Moscato family

The Moscato family includes numerous varieties, each with distinctive characteristics: Moscato Bianco (or Moscato di Canelli) dominates in Piedmont with the famous Asti DOCG and Moscato d'Asti; Moscato Giallo expresses elegance in South Tyrol and Trentino; Moscato di Alessandria (or Zibibbo) reaches its apotheosis in the passito wines of Pantelleria. There is no shortage of rarities such as Moscato Rosa and international interpretations from Alsace to Australia, where each terroir gives unique nuances to this versatile ampelographic heritage.p>

From aperitif to meditation: multiple interpretations

Our selection celebrates the different souls of Moscato: from the fresh and fragrant Piedmontese sweet sparkling wines with their famous notes of sage, peach, and orange blossom, to the masterpieces of Sicilian and Sardinian passito wines, where concentration and complexity create amber nectars of extraordinary intensity. The dry versions from Alsace and South Tyrol are surprising, maintaining their characteristic aromatic profile in dry and mineral structures, ideal for bold pairings with spicy and fusion cuisines.

The great interpreters: tradition and innovation

From the Piedmontese masters of Asti to the refined interpretations of Franz Haas in South Tyrol, from the legendary passito wines of Donnafugata in Pantelleria to the innovative visions of Zind-Humbrecht in Alsace: our selection brings together producers who have been able to get the most out of this aromatic grape variety.
