MAS DE CADENET

Mas de Cadenet: the essence of Provence rosés

Mas de Cadenet represents the authentic expression of Provençal rosés, with a history dating back to 1813 when the Négrel family acquired this estate at the foot of the majestic Montagne Sainte-Victoire, celebrated in Cézanne's paintings.

Located in the heart of the CĂŽtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire appellation, the estate benefits from a unique terroir, characterised by calcareous-clay soils and a distinctive microclimate influenced by the mountain. This combination of factors creates the ideal conditions for wines of extraordinary finesse and elegance.

A privileged terroir and respectful viticulture

Guy Négrel and his children Maud and Matthieu passionately manage the 45 hectares of organic vineyards, certified since 2013. Respect for the environment is fundamental in this protected area, where biodiversity is preserved through sustainable practices.

The south-east facing vineyards enjoy a Mediterranean climate tempered by the altitude (250-300 metres) and the mistral wind, which keeps the grapes healthy. Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault are the main varieties used for the famous rosés, grown on soils that give the wines a distinctive mineral note.

Vinification takes place with gentle direct pressing, preserving the aromas and freshness that are the hallmarks of the best Provençal rosés.

Rosé de Provence: elegance in a bottle

Mas de Cadenet rosĂ©s embody the quintessence of Provençal style: pale pink colour ‘pĂ©tale de rose’, delicate aromas of citrus fruits, white peach and flowers, elegant structure with a perfect balance between freshness and body.

The Sainte-Victoire cuvĂ©e represents the purest expression of the terroir, with a complexity and minerality that set it apart from other rosĂ©s. The ‘Arbaude’ version offers a more immediate but still refined approach.

In addition to its famous rosés, the estate also produces excellent red and white wines, all sharing a precise style characterised by elegance and territoriality. Each bottle of Mas de Cadenet tells the story of a family, a unique territory and a winemaking tradition that looks to the future while respecting the past.
