Le Vigne di Zamò: a benchmark in the Colli Orientali

Few other Friulian wineries can boast such a high level of quality.

Le Vigne di Zamò, a winery founded in the late 1970s - in 1978 to be precise - is located in Rosazzo, in the province of Udine, and has been an undisputed benchmark for thirty years, not only for the wider area of the Colli Orientali del Friuli, but also for regional and national winemaking and viticulture as a whole.

Vigne di Zamò: the wines

The winery's wines, always characterised by their unique elegance and substance, have amply demonstrated the greatness of the area and some of its best vineyards.

Just think of the plots that have become part of the collective imagination, such as Rocca Bernarda: ten hectares in total, enjoying the influence of the sea and, above all, the significant temperature variations between day and night. Not to mention Buttrio, which, with its five hectares of vineyards, produces two of Le Vigne di Zamò's most significant wines: the “Cinquant'anni”.

And let's not forget Rosazzo: fifteen hectares characterised by a unique microclimate, cool but temperate at the same time.

This great and important variety of vineyards, all of which are managed with the utmost respect for the ecosystem, the environment and nature, is complemented by expertise and skill in vinification, ageing and refinement, during which the most innovative technologies meet the most deeply rooted customs of the territory.

The result is wines that strike a perfect balance between tradition and modernity, produced in a cellar that is as evocative as few others, ultra-modern and built into the hillside so as not to impact the extraordinary environment that surrounds it.

From Sauvignon to Ribolla Gialla, Pinot Grigio to Malvasia, Refosco to Pignolo, without of course forgetting all the others, the wines bearing the name “Le Vigne di Zamò” on their labels are truly unique. An excellence that could not be missing from our online wine selection.
