Tasting Notes

Curtefranca Bianco DOC “Uccellanda” 2021 - Bellavista: Why we like it

Brand

The history of the Franciacorta “maison”

When naming the greatest Franciacorta wines ever, no enthusiast can fail to immediately think of some of the bottles produced by one of the most important “maisons” in the Brescia area: Bellavista.

The history of this very important winery has distant roots: it was in 1977 that Vittorio Moretti decided to invest in the countryside surrounding Erbusco, with the intention of producing sparkling wines capable of rivaling the famous French Champagnes in terms of quality.

A vision that came true from nothing, with the birth of a production structure that is probably unique in terms of dynamism and qualitative growth.

Why is it called Bellavista?

The name of the winery comes from the hill on which it stands, from which you can see Lake Iseo, the Po Valley, and the nearby Alps: a place of rare beauty.

Today, Bellavista reaps the rewards of over one hundred plots scattered throughout the appellation, sources of the geological and climatic diversity that underpins the success of this winery, a symbol not only of Franciacorta but of Italian wine as a whole.

The Bellavista style

The bottles that leave the Erbusco winery every year stand out for their elegance and stylistic precision, making them instantly recognizable. A true “Bellavista style.”

Currently, the vineyard area covers nearly two hundred hectares, with a production of almost one and a half million bottles per year. Brut, Extra Brut, Satèn, then Riserva Vittorio Moretti, Nectar, the unsurpassed Alma Gran Cuvée, and the fantastic Pas Operé:

all the labels that go by the name “Bellavista” have been a firm and undisputed favorite for all lovers of Franciacorta sparkling wines for years.

The sparkling wines produced by the Erbusco winery are of the highest quality, an undisputed symbol of the finest Made in Italy and synonymous with originality, quality, and excellence.
