Rubino. Al naso è ampio e molto intenso; spiccano, in particolare, sentori di frutti rossi, note di sottobosco e cenni di cuoio. Al palato è denso, carnoso, avvolgente; i tannini sono ben integrati e la persistenza è ottima.
