GALARDI

Galardi was born from the courageous and innovative vision of Roberto Selvaggi who, in the early 1990s, as a lover of Bordeaux wines, decided to produce a red wine on the land inherited from his wife's family. The property, located in the province of Caserta on the Roccamonfina volcano, includes several hectares of chestnut and olive groves, as well as a small half-hectare plot with non-native vines.
The first harvest in 1994 saw the birth of “Terra di Lavoro”: a blend of Aglianico and Piedirosso, selected by renowned oenologist Riccardo Cotarella. The vines were grafted onto half a hectare of existing vineyards owned by families on the Roccamonfina volcano.

Galardi is the only winery in Italy that focuses entirely on a single, representative and iconic label: “Terra di Lavoro”.
Production is deliberately limited, with around 20,000 bottles per year. Each vintage is a careful distillation of passion and quality, a tribute to the volcanic soil of Roccamonfina, which gives the wine its unique personality and depth.
