Tasting Notes

Golden; fine and persistent perlage. The nose reveals citrus notes, hints of hawthorn and lime blossom and a touch of honey. Dry, fresh and savoury on the palate, with a pleasant minty aftertaste. Well-balanced.

Pairings

Excellent with fish main courses, it pairs well with shellfish.

Champagne Brut "Carte Blanche" - Bernard Remy (x3): Why we like it

Bernard Remy's Brut Champagne ‘Carte Blanche’, aged for at least 24 months on the lees, immediately captivates with its fine yet persistent mousse. Lively and refreshing, it boasts a pleasant complexity on the nose and is well-structured on the palate. Definitely worth trying.

Brand

The origins of the company: the village of Allemant

Bernard Remy's company was founded around 50 years ago, a few kilometres away from the lively towns of Reims and Epernay.

At the end of the 1960s, Bernard Remy purchased his first vines in the heart of the small village of Allemant, on the Côte des Blancs, and a few years later, he decided to build his own winery so that he could create his own wine and master its production.

In 1986, wanting to expand his vineyard, he purchased another 3 hectares, tripling his production. This necessarily required new space, so Bernard decided to renovate the winery at the same time.

The company today

Currently, with approximately 11 hectares of vineyards, Bernard Remy's company produces Champagne of exceptional character and, over the years, has seen its turnover gradually increase. Thanks to the experience gained on the domestic market, Bernard decided to tackle foreign markets as well, first dealing with Belgium and Germany and then also with Japan (until entering the world of online wines).

The company's vineyards are located in first-class Champagne plots, including the Grand Cru areas. In addition to those in the Côtes des Blancs and Sézannais areas, both suited to the production of Chardonnay, there are those in Aube, where Pinot Noir grows, in Vallée de la Marne, where Pinot Meunier reigns supreme, and in Vitry le François. (By the way, if you don't know how to pair a Blanc de Noirs, we've created the definitive guide to Champagne and food pairings).

Today, Rudy, Bernard's son, is at the helm of the company. After years of contributing to the winery, he decided to devote himself to running the Maison.

Bernard Remy's Champagnes, available online, are all of excellent quality, as well as lively, refreshing, full-bodied and pleasantly marked by fine and elegant aromas. They are also known for their reliability and ability to adapt to a wide variety of social occasions, always offering a superb taste and aroma experience.
